Greetings, Stranger Nation!!
Wow! It’s hard to believe but summer is waning, school will start soon, and another season lies in wait! All of us Strangers hope you are having an amazing and safe summer so far!
Well-Known Strangers has matched this summer’s glory with an awesome line up of shows: Milwaukee PrideFest, Kraut Music Fest, Taste of Wisconsin, Concert in the Gardens at the Boerner Botanical Gardens, Wisconsin State Fair at the Door County Fish Boil Tent (twice), and we still have several dates to come!
One of the highlights of the past month was the release of our new single "Don't Follow." Along with our video, “Don’t Follow” is starting to garner attention nationally as well as our former single “Splinter.” WK·S would love it if you could subscribe to our YouTube channel and also follow us on Spotify. We just reached 15,000 monthly listeners and our total number of song streams have exceeded 100,000! It is really important for us to have as many followers and likes as possible so that we can keep the momentum going on a national level! In addition to Spotify and YouTube, our other social media sites always need that extra push from you, our fans! Please be sure to follow, like, tweet, retweet, and comment as much as you can!
As many of you are aware WK·S is passionate about raising awareness to the blight of human trafficking. In conjunction with local law enforcement, the Fight to End Exploitation, and the I-94 Project, WK·S produced a video for "Voices" that is now available on YouTube. This video exposes the tragic world of human trafficking at its roots and its devastating effects. We are very proud of this video and we hope to keep raising awareness. A special thanks is in order to all those who worked so very hard to make this video a reality, in particular: Lou Perez, Victor Cera, Betsy Ade, Melissa Beesley, Kerri Hemmig, Chantel Godlewski, Neal Lofy, and Scott Abrams. Without the attention and care of these people in particular this video would not be what it is. We will be forever grateful!
