WRAPPING UP 2017
Greetings, Stranger Nation!
The Holiday Season is upon us! It's hard to believe that 2017 is drawing to a close, but with 2018 just around the corner, WK·S continues to push forward and break new ground. But before we get swept away with the waning forces of transition, the present is still here; and what a present we have been given!
First, we want to thank all those who voted for us for the in the Milwaukee A-List contest. The results will be posted on December 4th. Second, WK·S and its members have been nominated in three categories by the Shepherd Express, Milwaukee’s alternative source of arts and entertainment news, and have made it to the finals! Please, take a few moments to follow the links and vote for WK·S for “Rock Band,” Betsy Ade for “Female Vocalist,” and Theodore Koth for “Guitarist.”

Furthermore, 88Nine Radio Milwaukee is in full swing with the 10th annual Radio Milwaukee Music Awards. We could use everyone from Stranger Nation to vote us in as a “write-in” vote, in the “Other” categories. Feel free to write us in for any and all categories that are appropriate!
With the dawn of a new year approaching, WK·S is excited to announce that we are headed back into the studio to record a 5-song EP. We are hoping to finalize some of the material you have been hearing at our shows, and flesh out innumerable ideas we have in the wings. Wire & Vice studios, in Wauwatosa, will be where most of the magic happens, with the expert support of nationally known producer, Nick Rad. If all goes according to plan, our new EP will be released in March, with the single launched in February, 2018.
A huge “Thank you” to all those who were able to catch us at some of our amazing shows these past few months. We were able to perform for Elizabeth Smart’s presentation at Carthage College, in conjunction with Fight to End Exploitation, be a part of honoring the Racine police force for the Racine Policeman’s Ball, and support original music in Milwaukee by headlining the inaugural concert for the Amplified Artist Session at the amazing Saloon on Calhoun, in Brookfield, WI.
If you able, we would love to see everyone come out to our shows in December:
More details can be found on our website (Shows).
Highlighting our start to 2018 is a show Lincoln Hall in Chicago, Saturday, January 6th. We are in the process of organizing another infamous “bus trip” to Chicago, and we hope to see the full force of Stranger Nation come out on a Saturday night!
Thank you, again, for all of your amazing support! Please continue to spread the word, and the love, through all social media outlets. These numbers really matter and the more we have the more you strengthen our impact!
Be safe, healthy, and happy this holiday season!
Betsy, Joe, John, Roger, Sacia, and Theodore
